That's what I was wondering. It seems most of the minis that came out in that time period were all plagued by the same underbuilt disease. :?

Brushless can cause problems but what about those TLT tires? I'd imagine it didn't like them either. They did look good on it with the extended chassis.

Savage03, how did you like the GPM parts on the Minizilla? Mainly the gearbox cases and bulkheads? I am looking into adding a few alloy pieces to strengthen up my MZ since it seems the plastic replacement parts are discontinued for this truck. Also, I was wondering at what brushless motor kv did you experience problems with the drivetrain?

Thanks Savage03, I guess I will just keep a brushed motor in it. Right now I am using the stock ESC and motor from my Tamtech Buggy Champ. Forgot what is the stock pinion so I just used the 16T(?) from the BC as well. Speed is not that fast, but I might just be used to brushless. The speed is just good enough for my track though haha.

Is there any weakpoints that are worth upgrading to alloy on the truck?

Thanks Savage03! Your zilla was hopped up so much! I only plan to add a few things like shocks, shock towers, and bulkheads. Today I put in a Feigao brushless I had and I think it's at the speed I want right now, not too fast and not too slow. I hope the gears are okay with it though.

Thanks for the tip! It's sad that the gear issue wasn't fixed because I really like this truck. Just ordered a set of shocks and a few alloy piece to pretty it up too.

Lost an e-clip on the suspension hinges, measured it with a caliper and it was 2mm. Bought a pack of 2mm e-clips for $5 (rip-off), then found out it was too big. Anyone know how e-clips are measured?!?

Ya I decided to drive back to the hobby shop to see if I could exchange it, also brought the pin just in case. They were very nice and let me test fitted a pack of 1.5mm ones. Apparently the diameter measurement is done on the grooved part of the pin and not on the outer diameter. Now I can finally finish putting on my alloy parts!
