OK I got some crappy news in regards to my winter racing schedule, that I wanted to share with my racing friends from HTU that read or check this section. Due to some college requirements I was forced into taking a Friday night class that starts at 5:00 pm and runs until 9:30. Sooooo I will NOT be racing on Fridays anymore this winter.

I am however hoping to continue helping Slow set-up when he needs it and hopefully be able to finish early enough to allow me at least a little practice time before I have to run off to school.

GOOD LUCK to the rest of ya, and I hope to see ya in early or in the spring time!

Sorry to heaar that Wolvie. Unfortunately my schedule has kept me from running on friday nights lately too. I have been able to squeeze in some open track running on Saturday and the occasional Wednesday though, so if you have something 1/10 you should let me know when you have time to hit the dirt, and we can do some running. I just got a Slash and plan to beat on it at least one day a week some place. AMS is a lot of fun for the bigger rigs, and now that Dan and I are both running them we'll be rubbing fenders frequently.

Max I have been itching to get a 1/10 SC truck since the beginning of Fall. I am waiting on my money tree to bloom but when it does Ill be in touch! What 1/10 classes do they run Max? Buggy...Stadium truck? I already know they run an SC truck class but that is all I have heard about...It would be much easier to find a used (ie CHEAP) buggy or ST in good shape then the SC ones that are so hot right now.

X, I doubt, that if i practiced all year...... I would be able to beat anyone there :doh ...but still, Im all about just getting a truck and set-up I can handle and learning to control it with some consistency, the next hurdle will be trying to become competitive with it! :rc But bro I really do appreciate your support! :beer

They run everything at AMS. Buggy, ST, nitro and electric you name it they run it. We haven't raced yet, just been doing the open track thing and having fun, but we plan to do some wednesday races in the near future. Let me know what you would be interested in having, and I'll keep my eye open for good deals too, and shoot you links to anything I come across.

Hoj AMS runs 1/10 and 1/8 it is also located in Grand Blanc right on Dort. Not too far from Hobby Town. The track is enormous, and a blast to run.

I am only into electric Max, i did my tour with nitro, not really my thing i guess....looking for a Blitz or Slash for SC, perhaps a HPI firestorm or Ofna for ST and I dunno shite about buggies but any cool 1/8 buggy from Ofna or kyosho would be great.

Well today became my official last day at the HTU RCP track. :mad

Here is the story:

I went out early, as I have been for a while now to help Slow set the thing up. I continued to help set-up because after we would finish, I could get a few hours of practice time in before I had to skip out and head to class. Today the manager said that the girls in the front office were complaining and we could no longer run the cars during office hours :whip

So I guess any incentive there was for heading out there early to set-up and get practice laps in are gone....I got so put out with their attitude towards us out there I now feel like...... :flip :moon :flip

I guess now I will have Fridays open for DIRT track runs....I hope that the ol bitties in the office are gonna pay the Pizza joint, the candy place and Dave at Hobby Town the money they will all be losing from me and from the rest of the RC guys/gals that they run off. I guess I know why that strip mall is such a ghost town now :allalone

I honestly feel bad for Slow! I don't know what he will do, but I honestly don't see why he would get out there early anymore just to sit around and wait until the races start to run his car. Plus I know I sure as hell wouldn't be setting that up every week by myself...so if he doesnt get some help or decides to do like me..... someone else would need to step up to the plate to do the dirty work, or I don't see that track making it through to February........

I know Fridays can be rough for me since I've been up since 4am but wouldn't go to bed anyways, plus I do push getting there on time. Sundays have Pros and cons to, and know can't make them all. I know the next 2 are out for me.

Slow or one of the admins - can you put up a pole on the site seeing what will work for just this group then we can compile that with the other racers

just ask what is best for you and your family - ultimately we still have to talk with HTU & the mall to ensure support but it helps to have the racer's voice before we negotiate any change in date or time

I totally agree, you need to keep the ones that are already coming. And I guess if it is possible if people that are coming know the ones that aren't anymore see if it was day, time or more if it would get them coming back. I guess somebody really needs to talk to HTU and the mall to see if there is any options and what they are if any.

Doesn't really matter to me, but I see few more Sunday's not being able to come then Fridays but those aren't that many either.

I guess by default I have to toss my vote into the hat for Sundays. I don't have school on Sunday so I could actually race, and the RC Grinches are off work, so that whine of mine would be a non issue.

I personally would NOT like to see anyone lose family time, so as it stands I am already out, and I have NO HARD FEELINGS towards any off you guys NO MATTER what day this runs on...it just boils down to Sundays I can attend, Fridays I cannot....nuff said
