HPI Sprint 2 Drift Sport. Only thing I've done to this other than bodies is add an Integy heat sink w/fan.

It was kind of a tight squeeze. I had to take the left motor mount plate off.

And for the bodies...

Toyota Trueno AE86 (stock body), my first paint job...

HPI's Mercedes AMG S-Class...
This body has big windows and you can see a lot of the insides. I'm not real big on that, so I may be tinting them.

nice looking paint jobs there. i like the big open windows on my cars. it makes them look a lot more scale to me, even if you can see all the guts.

nice work on the camelion paint.

Thanks for the compliments.

Since the AE86 was the first body painted and ran on my Drifty, it got beat up a little and the paint has chipped off the front bumper and the left side.
It was also my first ever attempt at painting an rc body. I didn't find out until after that you're supposed to get 2 cars out of 1 can... I did 1 car with 2 cans.
I also went a little thick with the gloss black backing and I think that's what happened. Too much paint.

It shouldn't be too hard to fix tho, just need some more chameleon paint and go over the spots.
It doesn't get much run time anyway, the S2000 and AMG S-Class look waaaay better.

I got another set of wheels, different spoke pattern, gold w/chrome lip. I was going to get some ABS plastic pipe and make drift tires but haven't done it yet.
These are the wheels... http://www.hpiracing.com/products/en/3297/ I wanted to get the same style spokes, black instead of gold, but they were out of stock.

The Mercedes and Honda bodies are wider (200mm) than the Toyota (190). I should have thought about it a little longer and gotten a wider offset.
Stock fronts are 3mm and 6mm rear. 6mm front and 9mm rear would've put the wheels further out and fit the 200mm bodies a little better.
Depending on how much I have left after buying a brushless system and some lipos for my E-Maxx, I might look get the wider offset black version.
I could try to paint the 6mm pair I have, but it doesn't always work or look good.

Wow, it's been just over a year since I posted about this here?

Some recent upgrades:

HPI universal dogbones
HPI front one-way diff
GPM aluminum steering assembly
Deans connectors
Spektrum DX3.0 / SR3000
Trimmed the front body posts and got a few sets of wheels and ABS tires.
