I have combined 1/10 rear wing to increase the downforce / traction.
> GT-01 chassis to increase the wheel base (with kickup mod)
> GB-01T front suspension mount for a wider variety of mounting options
> GB-01 parts to top it up.

Currently waiting for my new brushless ESC and a sized 300 Turnigy inrunner motor to power this monster

Enjoy!!

That looks great. Paint the body black, that wing just screams Batmobile.

This little thing used to be powered by a 7800kv EZrun hobbywing motor + 11.1V 1250mah Rhino Lipo
On a high traction surface (asphalt), the traction is just enough but nearing the limit.
On a loose sandy topsoil with hard pack offroad terrain, it is uncontrollable.

Inspried by the xray m18b pro mod in other forums, I tot of using a 1/10 wing to give an extra ooopm in traction.

That is one gnarly little monstrosity there! Does it turn at speed, or just ride wheelies with that wing? I know I can have that problem with just my regular GB-02 unweighting the front tires a bit under power!
Interesting use of only the GT-01 tub... just for increased wb.

Are those dampers from a mini inferno?

just curious, where are you getting your TamTech hop-up parts?

Ever since the first debut of mini revo, i realised that i must do something to boost up the torque and speed of my tammy in order to be a worthy rival.
More mods are under way. I have addded a can size 380 BL motor (yup its approximately the same size as that of the VXL). Changed a 61tooth delrin MIni T Spur gear and match that to a 21tooth pinon. To handle the huge surge of amps, i got myself a 1/10 hobbywing ESC 35A.

With a 3S lipo, the rear wheel can ballon to a point where it nearly tears itself off the rims on full throttle
With a 2S lipo, the power is slightly manageable with huge improvements in the accleration department. (As compared to my CC 6800kv motor)

the handling is slightly understeer. But it can be avoided by reducing the preloading of the springs in front. To prevent the shocks from bottoming out after releasing the preload, i savage springs from my used pen and pop them onto the suspension shaft. I deliberately shorten them so that there is no contact during the initial stroke (the small bump compliancy is still retained). However, once the wheel has moved to a point where the additonal springs comes into contact with the cap, the spring force will increase exponentially to prevent excessive body roll.

The dampers are from mini infernos and the hop up parts are mainly 3racing.
BTW, i have converted it back to GB-01 chassis minus the "bat mobile wing". This buggy / truggy is currently wearing a Hummer H2 top.
It still doesnt wheelie as easy as i tot so.

I like the idea of the pen springs on the bottom section of the susp. shaft! Ingenious. Quite crafty thinking on your part, nice work! Maybe I should try that out... mine has quite a bit of understeer as well.

Yours must be a complete BEAST to drive, wow! I can only imagine. Hardly control my CC 6800 on a track, you must be smoking through tires!

So is this your main rig to drive lately? Do you spend much time with the TamShot anymore?

You can also try popping in MIF 3racing front wheels to increase traction and reduce understeer. See link below.
http://www.thetoyz.com/cart/thetoyz_det ... %20INFERNO

The compound is quite soft but due to its huge knoobies the tire longevity is compensated.
The trick is to install a 8.5mm wheel hex and CVD from 3racing again to make it work.

The stability of the car can be further improved by adding an Al hub extension.

The GT-01 chassis is longer than the GB-01 chassis?

And what is the kickup mod you speak of?

Yup, the GT has an 8" wheelbase.

Here's my tech-kinda writeup on the kickup mod as well. It's really easy to do but pics are always helpful.

By the way, welcome to the site JatoTheRipper, make yourself at home.

Thanks, Jamus! I got the link of this site from somebody's post (it was ???man IIRC) on another site. I have to say I wish I would have found this site sooner! I absolutely love my TamTech Hornet and I'm bummed nobody gives these things the time of day. It's good to see a forum with tons information and how-tos for the TamTech series!

They are fun little minis. Maybe one day I can get a GB03 and try one in 4wd. Just too many other rides I want to own first.
