so I bought one of these based upon research, and the review at oople.com ( http://www.oople.com/rc/photos/reviewbu ... age02.html )

My question is, does this motor need any resistors soldered onto it? It's just got the empty tabs, but the stock motor is using resistors. The review only said it was s drop-in fit, no mention of resistors.

Thanks, y'all - she'll be alive soon!

I say if you have them run them. It can only help reduce radio niose. It may not need them so if you wanna try it without them you can. l8r,w.

For 2cell lipo,
Based on past experience, 18t pinon should be the around the limits of the motor for pavement / tarmac. cookked the motor once it goes offroad.
16t is around the max for any offroad / rough conditions.

I didn't reverse anything (although I think I might have taken a lucky guess at the polarity of the motor's engine tabs) The motor runs well for me, although it's mostly a shelf queen. I have the 16t pinion in it and after a full pack it was hottish to the touch, but you could hold the motor. The performance is great - it's a really smooth motor, and not uncontrollable like some brushless setups.

Have u played with the timing of the motors. I read that its timed to go in one direction. So because I had 2 reverse it I'm thinking I gota change the timing on it.
