As long as they're happy, and every indication so far is that they like what they see, we may be shipping out kits as early as this afternoon although Friday (11/27) seems more likely."

I hear ya ...... but I'm guessing it'll be a hit like most of their mini-offerings, especially since it's basically just a stretched Detta buggy

Actually I think it has been on there site for a while but with an expecting date, not in stock.

I guess the real question is now which one, Duratrax, Traxxas or AE.

I checked them out yesterday at htu he has 2 in stock

They've had them "In Stock" over a week, our lhs already got some too.

I got a chance to look at one up close and personal at hobbytown USA on Friday. I even managed to talk a guy into buying one for his kid, though I told him I did not own this SC version, but I did explain some of the obvious similarities to the ST which I do have. I do have to admit though, the idea of using that longer chassis is beginning to wear on me!

damn tires wont stop rubbing on it even with the body all the way up and the shock stiffend up but its not mine

every kind/brand of SC I've ever seen the tires rub the fenders, out of the box.

an o-ring or two used as shock limiters should solve the problem.

Just seemed really close even comparing to others ,it did drive ok even with that rubbing issue and your right limiting the shocks will prolly fix it.

thats cool wonder if they come with those crappy plastic cv axles like my rally did hopfully not thats a 50 dollar fix right outta the box.

i think thats mandatory with the detta line. small price 2 pay for a kickazz ride imo

I wouldn't worry about the body rub, unless it's catching an edge of the shell... Just line the wheelwells with alu. tape to reduce friction and wear, that's what I do.

welp, I've got one on the way to me right now! Pretty stoked, but still wondering about it...
Scored it pretty cheap, comes with rear CVD's, a front sway bar kit, and the apparantly much needed servo hold down installed. Other than that, it's stock.
Doesn't come with the rx/tx, but no biggie to me since I use a spektrum and have plenty of extra rx's, but, something I'm a bit concerned about is that it comes with an old 'Detta ST ESC, instead of the upgraded and supposedly smoother SC ESC. I've heard of some problems with the ST ESC, so I'm a little worried... although I do plan on going to a brushless set-up eventually, but was hoping to rip it with the VR3 and reg. ESC for a bit... Might have to scrap it. (on a side-note, will a Castle sidewinder micro be big enough for this platform, or not enough torque and run too hot?)

So, what I'm really wondering, from those of you out there who have deep experience with the 'Detta buggy, what upgrades should I do to this SC to make it solid???
Should I add the front CVD's, or will I be ok just running the rears? I can't seem to find the front buggy CVD kit in stock anywhere... wonder if HTU has any?
And what about the gear diffs? Even though they are not sealed, should I cover them with some AE black grease? Or should I swap them out for the ball diffs? I honestly don't want to drop $50 on ball diffs for this thing though, so maybe if I bought one, could I just put it up front, or just one out back??? Again, I really don't want to drop another 50% of what I spent on my deal, but if the gear diffs really won't hold up, then I guess I don't have much choice.

Anything else, maybe the alu. steering set-up?
Alu. shocks? or will the plastics be alright? Different rate springs?

I believe most all of the susp. parts from the Buggy (not ST or Rally) will fit this SC...

don't think I'll be needing any other alu. or graphite hop-up parts... unless one of you tell me otherwise.

Oh, and how is the servo that comes with these? Should I look into upgrading to faster/stronger? I believe it takes a full-size servo (good thing for me)
