Hey All;
Well I went and did it again. After reading Wolvie's PE thread and doing some research I was on the fence about getting a 4x4SC just yet. But there has been a PE at the LHS with a big hole in the side of the box. And after offering 10% off it for a month there were no takers. SO after showing interest in it they offered 20% off and if there is any damage take it up with traxas. Man I could not pass it up.lol So I got it home and opened it up and it had a rip in the bag on the body but I didn't see any damage. I went ahead and put my FM radio gear in and also put my other heatsink and fan on the motor. I also installed the optional diff I just changed out the fluid to 125,000 Losi Silicone.At least I got most of the work done before I broke my toe. And now it is ready to go but I am laid up like a filleted fish.lol Oh well lifw has a way of slapping you in the forhead, OK here are the pics.Enjoy.l8r,w.

Well I no longer need the stand in body. My PE lid is finished.Made it quick and simple since it's a beater lid and becuase of my foot. Oh well I ordered a manta from JC for the PE and I'll toss this on the 2WD Slasher. Also got to run a few batery packs through it this afternoon rom the tailgate of my truck. Wife marshaled abit for me. lol It is a fun lil ripper. Can.t wait to see it on a 3 cell. That will have to wait. Need to send my charger in for repairs.Will be without a way to charge Lipos for a few weeks.Boo Hoohoo. oh well might just have to grab a $29 chinese stand in lipo charger. Gotta have my RC fix.lol Well here are some new pics. enjoy.l8r,w.

Thanks guys.
Hey J, open door policy here you know that. Anytime. Wolvie hope the Casa gets back to norn soon for you. Know the feeling to well livin in Fla. The A&S Motel as our family calls us. Fun rig but only have a couple paks threw it. So I will give you a full opinion after some more runtime. Also need to score a 3 cell to fully get to it's hidden core. lol Here are a few pics of the window netting I installed. Also I am working on a Syrene rollcage then maybe reproduce it in tubing. But who knows one step at a time.Also I forgot to post the pic of the 20% hole in the box. And I was gunna pass on the offer. Real glad I didn't. Thanks for looking fellas and for all the kind words.l8r,w.

Hmmmm....I think the best I have ever gotten was like 25% off my sanity when spending over $300...

Wrench, dude I am digging that roll cage! Pretty sweet idea...I have been tossing around thoughts about an exterior roll cage for my Slash that was more along the lines of the type that it's Bully Big Brother Summit is sporting....No fabbing tries yet so I have no idea if its even reasonable...but your definitely fueling the fire my friend!

Ill be waiting for the official Wrenchhead 2WD vs 4WD Slash Comparo article in the near future!

hmmm talking discounts now, eh? i got my slash on a discount simply becasue my lhs had overstocked and was literally giving them away for just $200 (in $ Canadian last year when the prcie was supposed to be $270) i wonder what discount that was. anyways, i get a 10% discount for everything. b/c i have a membership card and that makes me a VIP.

Hey All; Scored a new lid for the Slash 4X4. I am moving the PE lid over to the Slash 2WD. I went with the JConcepts Manta lid and I am glad I did. The looks are killer and the lines work for me. Here are the paintwork pics. Enjoy.

Hey All; Well I got up early,9:30. And continued where I left off. I added the final color and then decided to try something different.I cut the protective film off over the fans and then painted a coat of silver on the outside to give it a more flat alluminum color.Seems to have worked out OK.Also got some trimming done as well and will be doing a bit of stickering and mounting it up.Stay tuned for mor updates.l8r,w.
