thought i would post this i found out tonight that the stock style mini t spur gears fit the gb01 perfect this opens up alot more ratios the stock gear bag for the mini t comes with a 58 and 60 tooth spur,s and gpm makes some delrin gears in alot of sizes for the mini t as well 13>58=4.46...14>58=4.14...15>58=3.86....16>58=3.62...17>58=3.41...18>58=3.22..... 13>60=4.16...14>60=4.28...15>60=4.00...16>60=3.75...17>60=3.52...18>60=3.33... compare those to what you have with the 63 .64 tooth spurs opens up a world of different ratios

im sure everyone knows this but the smaller the number the more top end the higher the number the more bottom end by using the 58 tooth mini t spur you should be able to reach higher top end speeds than the tamtech spurs with out giving up all your low end .. if it were me i would run a 16 or 17 pinion with the 58 tooth spur for a really good mix of low end and top speed :remote

Good to know. I just ordered a brushless 4900 kv system and the largest pinion they had was a 14T. Maybe I'll get one of those 58T spurs to help get top end back. Probably will still need some larger pinions. It's good to know of other part sources too, since tamiya isn't as loved in the states and the parts may become scarce.

you can use any RC18 or mini T pinion and go up to 18teeth, even using the MLST you can get up to 22 tooth pinions.

Yeah, I have an 18T RC18 pinion on my sport tuned motor now. The brushless I got has the 2.3mm shaft though and I wanted to order the pinion from the same place, 14T is the highest they carried. I'll try it first for $2 though.
