Hi. I have been reading about the f18 in other forums. It really seems like a great deal for the price. I have heard that you really need to put 2 mm lock nuts on the diff and put on a metal geared servo. The rtr also needs pro servo mounts and a drag link. How do you out the lock nut on the diff? Can anyone post a photo. What is a " drag link" and what does it do. If i can figure out how to do these mods im going to pick oneup. You cant beat the price for what you get. But I want to know about theses mods before i spend my money cause at this point its either an f18 or( believe it or not) the micro losi rock crawler. Please let me know. the cash is burning a hole in my pocket even as I type.

Back the diff bolt out until it's flush with the inside of the outdrive, drop in locknut, thread bolt into locknut until it spins. Hold locknut with very skinny needle nose pliers or a thin standard screw driver wedged between it and the wall of the outdrive. Tighten until thrust spring bottoms out, then back off one half turn. Done.

It's so much easier to drive than an RC18. The longer wheelbase makes it so much smoother in the rough and much less twitchy in the curves. The silky Big Bore shocks help too.

You don't see the RC18 coming RTR with a BL either. :hubba
