Hey All; Well I have Been hearing about the Guitar Pick Steering Linkage Fix since before I even had a Micro DT. And I was in need of something while my turnbucles came in.So I decided to make my own from a guitar pick I caught at a Cheep Trick concert. I got a few that night. So I broke off mine and tried the ZipTie method but found mine were to thick and bound up the susp. So I decided to show you all how I did it. First I got me a Guitar Pick and some old Steering Links and used some water based glue. NO CA glue. I glued the old links onto the pick and let it dry. Then I used my Pin Vise Mini drill bits and sized the holes to the right size. Then I drilled them out at both ends. After drilling them I cut them out with a new eXacto blade.I scored it in both directions a few times and then Popped them off.I then used some locking plyers to hold tight at one end. I used my Dremmel Tool to shape the pick to the size of the stock links. Once shaped on one end I moved the plyers to the other end and smoothed out the other end. Once I was finished I pryed the old linke off and washed the water based glue off. Then I installed them on the truck as if they were bought from Losi. NOT... Still enough pick left to make 2 more links. So stop by your nearest Guitar Center cause they will give you a few free guitar picks.Well I hope this helps you out a bit. L8R,WrenchHead.
Here I got me a Killer pick I have had for 15 years or so.

Here I used some water based glue so I can get them apart when finished. Let the glue fully dry or you will slip/slide away

Here I sized the holes and drilled to the right size. Don't guess get the right sized bit.

Here are all the holes drilled out from the back side. Plus i thought this side of the pick was kool.

Now I will score the pick in both dirrections to split is straight. Pop it off once you score it about 1/3 way through.

Here I cut them into 2 individuals and trimmed them with my Lexan scissors.

Now it gets a little tricky You have to be slow and steady. Just trim the pick into the shape of the stockers.

Here are a couple pics of the finished steering links and the stocker templates and a new unmolested Cheep Trick Pick

And now the installed finished product ready to be a bashed on. Yes they work great. No binding like the ZipTies.
