Hey All;
Well I got that phone call at work today. He Scott 2 small boxes from Losi came in. You still in ? Yep be by after work. New location of my LHS is no more than 5 mins away from work and right along the way. Sweet. So I poted for a Grey BND. This thing is to much fun for a micro. Time to start the mods as well. Stay tuned for more pix and info. l8r,w.

Just wait till they come out with a 1/24 grappler. You can have a mini and a micro version of your 1/10. I have to have one of these, just not soon probably.

Well round 2 here we go. I went and removed the springs and went droop as well as moved the receiever to over the front axel on the servo. And moved the battery to the rear axel to the plate that Losi so conveniently supplied for me.And then this morning I found my wheel balancer and added a few strips of balancing weight strips to the insides of the front rims. It isn't much but something so small doesn't need to much right. It is all reletive in size and weight. It does seem to crawl a bit better and I am happy with it so far. It does not flip over as easy as it did when I brought it home. Been fun little crawler all around.Perfect timing as well it has been rainy and ugly for last 2 days to boot here so it has worked out. Well here are the pix to go with. l8r,w.

Nice mods W... as always.

I saw someone on RcF set theirs up with full droop but didn't like it. I think it was the loss of clearance.
Anyway, he went back to normal but cut a few coils off to help lower the center of gravity.

RcF is raffling one of these LMC's, kinda hoping I win even tho I sold all my micro stuff not too long ago. Tho that stuff was micro DT's that didn't drive for crap on my tile floor cuz 3 dogs with a doggy-door drag in a lot of dirt. Plus my English Bull Terrier likes to chase RC's and not being able to evade him (lack of traction), driving 'em indoors was risky. I highly doubt the LMC would see much of the floor, except in my room, climbing over mountains of laundry.

Thanks for the tip. Might have to try that one. Was lookin around for my micro bag for a few mins till I remembered I sold them to you. (stuuuuupid) I wanted a set of micro-t springs to try out on the inside the shocks. I saw the raffle and will grab a few tix. I would love to make it 4ws. Wanna go look for a few scale lidz but being black friday I steer clear of the mall. Thanks for the kind words,CYA.

Just saw some of these at my LHS this past Wed... I've never tried the RC crawling action, but looks like it could be fun.

Gotta say, that Jeep lid looks so badass on there, really caught my eye. Scale looks for the win!

The full droop set-up is kind of cool. Kind of reminds me of the current trend in 1:1 Jeeping/4X4, with the low CG, but stuffed big tire builds, still with big flex potentials. Anybody see that Jeep "40" factory concept, looks fairly stock and mild, but is stuffing 40" tires?

Here's the body I want to use for my future micro. It came from a 1/20 scale lowrider hydraulic hopper toy. Perfect copy of the 2wd 93 S10 I had as my first vehicle. I have it put on the chassis of one of those metal Truckin lifted models with a hummer body. Looks like a good mud truck right now. Those tires are over 2" so the micro will be smaller and narrower.

Nice body Jams. I have been on the hunt for something different everwhere I look. So far I can't find anything I want bad enough. Nice having the body already figured out. The jeep lid is "Under Construction" right now so stay tuned. l8r,w.

So far you're the only one here with one of these so let me run this idea past you. I've been trying to think of ideas for an indoor micro course, even if I don't have a micro yet. I don't really like the foam ideas, it wears off and makes a mess looks like. So what about plastic forms? I've been looking at lowes at the plastic rocks, water fountian parts, and even upside down plastic ponds. I got an idea and tried it out today to make extra forms. I tossed some rocks inside a 3 liter bottle and used a heat gun on it to shrink it down. Later I'll make many more, cut them in half, and glue them together on a board, plywood probably. I also have some grip/texture paint to cover it with. That way it will look like rock or cement when I'm done.

That is a pretty kool idea there Jamus. I like the McGiverisms (sp) and the thinking mans way around the ordinary. Looks to be a decent and cheep way of getting what you want from something. I was thinking of the Styro built courses but also thought it would be a bit of a mess.Still on the fence about it for now. Thanks for sharing your ideas.l8r,w.

There's some videos on youtube of some guys having a competition on an expanding foam course and their tires looked like they were running in snow. That would be fine for the garage but I want a course for in the house on days like today, few inches of snow.

Hey All; Sorry been a slacker a bit on the updates. Well I have gotten around to some more Wrenchin sessions and am back to hating Micro's. Addictive yet frustrating as all he**. So here is a quick update and some pics to go with. Workbench has had more than a few items on it as of late gettin the MicroC pushed aside for a few days as of late.Enjoy.l8r,w.

Here are a few before after shots. I decided to lower the shock mounts to the holes the battery and ESC plates were. Also I flipped the motor rear to front to move the motor weight forward. I also wanted to solder the ESC motor wires direct and remove the Losi Micro plug. I also used micro Deans plugs since my Micro Lipo's were already that way. I removed the ESC / Recv. from it's case and battery shrink wraped it and made a plate for it out of lexan. Since it is so much lighter I didn't mind putting up where it was stock. I originally had it on the servo out front. I am workin on a few more ideas so stay tuned.

These micro Deans are a Pain In the Butt to Solder.

Can a Micro Crawler handle a 3 cell lipo???

Here are few pics for my Bovine Buddy BIG H. I really do like the Mini MOO Matt From COWRC.com. Without it I would have given up on my Micro's since my eyesite had deminished with age. lol

Nice mods man. I like the final look. Those tires and wheels mounted? They look like hard plastic, which wouldn't grip well, but look really cool. Have you lubed the shock shafts with anything? How about some video?

No lube on it. I did a shock mod last night. Swapped on some Micro DT bodies and springs to drop it down. The droop wasn't workin for me here. I built a tabletop coarse on my build table last night to test the mods. Here you go.You asked for it Jamus. l8r,w.
